CHICKENHAWK
- Midlength -
DESCRIPTION
This model is an excellent fit for folks who still want to be in the good-wave fight but want to avoid the inherent work of riding a shortboard. Named after old war-hungry politicians who managed to avoid military service in their younger years, the Chickenhawk is an eggy midlength outline that provides plenty of forgiving stability. At the same time, a thin foil from nose to tail keeps it super responsive and capable of a more aggressive surfing style. It has plenty of foam for soft, lazy days and plenty of hold for punchy hollow ones.
Shaper's Notes:
Our crew has several folks who feel most at home on a longboard, but occasionally, they get that itch to drive off the bottom and blow out a lip. The Chickenhawk combines a classic longboardy outline with a thin foil, resulting in a mid-length with all the comfort and glide of a log that will respond to any turn-testing you’ll put it through with ease.
-
Excellent shorter performance option for folks most comfortable on a longboard.
-
Full wide-point-back outline for easy paddling, wave-catching, and stability with good leverage for aggressive turns.
-
Excels as a 2+1 fin setup for more classic flowy turns or as a keel twin for a more slippery/hacky style.
